My State of Mind

My State of Mind was brought to our attention by three students who are involved with it and are already doing great (CAS) work in this context! They are Natalia Kostourou (IB1) and Nikos Vekrakos (IB1), as well as Yvonni Melissa (Moraitis Lykeio).

It is a global non-profit mental health organization based in the USA. It was founded in 2019 and currently has members in more than 14 countries. Through a collaborative effort, the organization creates big and small projects that cater to and address important topics within the mental health scene. Some of the bigger projects of MSOM include its official podcast series called “Unwind The Mind”, as well as a mental health conference involving different nonprofits all over the world! The organization came to Greece in April of 2021 and the Greek chapter has been growing ever since. Applications are currently open and the Greek team is looking for volunteers! As Natalia Kostourou said to our CAS blog team: My State Of Mind Greece was formed a few months ago, in April of 2021. Our team consists of high school students a lot of which are from The Moraitis School/IB. We organize monthly meetings in order to prepare future projects and keep in touch with all our volunteers. Since April we have arranged a few projects, such as a bazaar and a podcast series called «Σκέφτομαι άρα υπάρχω». The episodes are filmed and edited by us and then uploaded on Spotify and Google podcasts. We are currently working on a new project, the goal of which is to create an anonymous platform where people can share their experiences and connect with others!
